Energy shortage is a huge problem for modern society and it has a negative impact on people's daily life and economic development. Many elements account for energy shortage. Firstly rapid economic development prompts an increase of energy consumptions in different industries. Secondly population growth creates greater demands for household energy usage. Thirdly people have yet to develop the sense of energy conservation. Actually we can do a lot to save energy in daily life. Turn off lights and fans when nobody is in the room; design buildings with the concept of energy saving; use public transit instead of private cars in rush hours... It is very easy for us to do these things as long as we have the sense of energy conservation and we should do it right now! 能源短缺已經(jīng)成為現代社會(huì )所面臨的一個(gè)嚴重問(wèn)題，而且它對于人們的日常生活和經(jīng)濟發(fā)展產(chǎn)生了負面影響。能源短缺有很多因素。首先，各行業(yè)經(jīng)濟的快速發(fā)展使得能源消耗也在增長(cháng)，第二，人口增長(cháng)也使每個(gè)家庭的.能源使用的需求也在增大，第三，人們的節能意識還有待提高。實(shí)際上我們可以在日常生活中做很多節省能源的事，房間里沒(méi)人的時(shí)候關(guān)掉燈光和風(fēng)扇，設計建筑時(shí)使用節能概念，在擁擠的時(shí)段選用公共交通而不是私家車(chē)......如果我們有節能意識，做這些事情會(huì )很容易，我們應該馬上行動(dòng)起來(lái)!

As high students, what should we do?
We should focus our attention on details around ourselves. We should form the habit of saving water, especially when we brush our teeth and wash hands, and never leave water running unnecessarily. Meanwhile, we ought to save electricity. When we leave classrooms or our homes we should make sure that the light and some electrical equipments have been turned off. Do never make the light on in the daytime if unnecessary. We should also save our every piece of paper as well as other writing materials. What's more, we should offer to recommend our relatives and friends as well as our parents to save energy.
