　　When it comes to honesty, quite a lot of people believe it is essential to a person’s character and success.

　　當談到誠實(shí)，很多人相信這對于一個(gè)人的性格和成功來(lái)說(shuō)是很重要的。

　　They base their idea on the following reasons: on one hand, successful business owes much to mutual trust; on another hand, great people in history such as Abraham Lincoln andGeorge Washington set us good examples of being honest, they are great because they are honest.

　　他們立足于他們的想法的理由如下：一方面，商業(yè)上的成功，有賴(lài)于相互信任；另一方面，在歷史上如亞伯拉罕林肯和喬治華盛頓這樣的偉人給我們樹(shù)立了誠實(shí)的好例子，他們之所以偉大是因為他們是誠實(shí)的。

　　But some people think differently. They believe honesty is becoming out of date.

　　但有些人有不同的看法。他們相信誠實(shí)已經(jīng)過(guò)時(shí)了。

　　Their reasons run as following: to begin with, cheating on exams is becoming more and more popular; in addition, some singers and movie stars cheat on taxes; last but not the least, if you are not careful enough, you’ll buy some defective goods and fake products.

　　他們的原因如下：首先，考試作弊是越來(lái)越受歡迎；此外，一些歌星和影星騙稅款；最后但并非最不重要的，如果你不小心的話(huà)，你會(huì )買(mǎi)到一些有缺陷的產(chǎn)品或假冒產(chǎn)品。

　　It is high time we emphasized and encouraged honesty. We can take effective measures to restore it.

　　我們是時(shí)候該強調并鼓勵誠實(shí)了。我們可以采取有效措施來(lái)恢復它。

　　For example, kids should be taught to tell truth, strict rules and regulations should be carried out to stop cheatings on exams and taxes, etc.

　　例如，應該教孩子們誠實(shí)，嚴格的規章制度應實(shí)施進(jìn)行來(lái)阻止在考試和稅收方面的欺詐等。
