Jiaozi is my favourite food. Since childhood I haw learned how to make it. There are five steps.
First you make the dough by mixing water into the flour. The container shculd be big enough lest the flour and water will overflow. Press the dough with your hands till it is not sticky. When the dough is ready, leave it there for use later, then go on to make the fillings.
The second step is to mince the meat, mushrooms and shnmps till they are mixed in a paste. Add some spice such as ginger and onion and stir them evenly.
The third step is to make the wrappings. Roll the dough with a round stick into small round pieces of wrappings, each two inches in diameter.
The fourth step is to put the filling in the middle of a wrapping. Then press the wrapping tight and a jiaozi is ready. When you have made enough Jiaozi, the next step is to boil them.
That is the last step. Put a pot of water on the stove. When the water is boiling, put the Jiaozi one by one into the water and cover the pot. When steam comes out, add more cold water and when it boils again add cold water a second time. When you see the Jiaozi floating in boiling water, you can put them in bowls or plates, get the chopsticks and be ready to eat.

最近我發(fā)現媽媽的英語(yǔ)個(gè)別發(fā)音很不標準，我心中不禁萌發(fā)出一個(gè)念頭—搞個(gè)速成培訓班教媽媽學(xué)英語(yǔ)。我左哄右騙，死拉硬纏，終于把媽媽這個(gè)學(xué)生給逼上了梁山，于是我的“teacth”生涯就開(kāi)始了。
一復習鞏固
根據我的教學(xué)大綱，決定先幫媽媽復習鞏固一下英文字母。我讓媽媽先背一遍字母歌，不背不知道，一聽(tīng)嚇一跳，媽媽有好幾個(gè)字母發(fā)音大走樣，我只好讓媽媽按照我的要求把那些字母每個(gè)讀30遍。開(kāi)始媽媽很虛心，可到后來(lái)就不耐煩了說(shuō)：“我那么聰明只要讀三遍就好了，哪用讀那么多遍呀？”看來(lái)媽媽還真是死鴨子—嘴硬，我得改變策略，硬的不行來(lái)軟的，我陪著(zhù)笑臉說(shuō)：“媽媽?zhuān)炷苌�，業(yè)精于勤，你讀得不錯，如果能鞏固鞏固，就更好了�！边@招還真管用，服軟不服硬的媽媽又認真學(xué)了起來(lái)，不久字母就搞定了。
二單詞訓練
學(xué)完字母，當然是學(xué)單詞啦！我先教媽媽最簡(jiǎn)單的，我本想看媽媽的.好戲，沒(méi)曾想媽媽又快又標準地“吐”出這幾個(gè)單詞，嗯，看來(lái)媽媽的基礎還不差，這幾個(gè)單詞還難不倒她嗎！我壞笑著(zhù)決定給媽媽增加一點(diǎn)難度，果然不出我所料，我教的這幾個(gè)單詞，媽媽都沒(méi)學(xué)過(guò)，發(fā)音就更別提多走樣了。我反復糾正，可媽媽就是我行我素，正當我苦思冥想著(zhù)如何糾正時(shí)，瞧見(jiàn)媽媽偷偷摸摸地在本子上寫(xiě)著(zhù)什么，我很奇怪，趁媽媽不注意之時(shí)，一把搶過(guò)本子一看，差點(diǎn)笑掉大牙，原來(lái)媽媽把“waterbbottle”寫(xiě)成了“我偷抱頭”，英譯中了，我看了把肚子都笑疼了，我邊學(xué)邊把本子還給媽媽?zhuān)瑡層眠@個(gè)笨辦法搞定了不少短語(yǔ)和單詞呢！

"No Spitting !"
With SARS gradually passing its peak, more and more people take off their gauze masks. They feel released and have more freedom to breathe in fresh air. However, a certain number of people have restored their bad habit and start to spit everywhere. Now and then, whether in the street, or on the bus, or in city gardens, we will see some people, the fine ladies and gentilemen, spitting without feeling a bit ashamed as shown in the picture. When shown the" NO SPITTING !sign, they just turn a blind eye to it. Still worse, people around have to be on guard against the sudden attack of ＇spit
shot" from the spitters.
Spitting is a terrible habit. For one thing, it is-entirely uncivilized. The world has entered the 21st century and human civilization has reached a more advanced stage.Why can＇t those people remove this ugly habit? Is it because they think the earth is a gigantic spittoon? For another thing, spitting does great harm to public health. According to chemical laboratory test, one sputum contains thousands upon thousands of germs and SARS viruses if the spitter is a SARS Sufferer. As was reported, the Beijing Municipal Government once mobilized an army of a thousand sanitation workers to clean out the mess in Tian An Men Square.
For people to get rid of this uncivilized behaviour, we suggest local authorities strengthen education by publicizing the harmfulness of spitting, and at the same time, enforce the law of punishment.
Finally, we, citizens of the earth, must he self-disciplined, love our Mother Earth and don＇t dirty her.
