police用法

　　指警察時(shí)往往前面有定冠詞the，指“多個(gè)警察”時(shí)，前面有時(shí)有數詞，有時(shí)沒(méi)有�？梢哉f(shuō)a few police，six or sevenpolice。例如：

　　We have reported the matter to the police.

　　我們將這件事報告了警察。

　　Several hundred police were on duty in the street.

　　幾百名警察在街上執行任務(wù)。

　　注意：police作主語(yǔ)時(shí)，謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞應該是復數形式。例如：

　　The police are looking for the little boy.

　　警察正在尋找小男孩。

　　policeman 是可數名詞。復數形式是policemen，說(shuō)“一個(gè)警察”通常用“a policeman”。例如：

　　If you want to know the way,ask a policeman.

　　如果你想要打聽(tīng)路怎么走，可以去問(wèn)警察。
