　　1. What’s happening? = What’s up發(fā)生什么事了？

　　What happened to sb. ? = What’s wrong with sb.? = What’s the matter with sb.?

　　某人怎么了？

　　2. have a meeting開(kāi)會(huì )

　　3. That’s news to me.我一無(wú)所知，我一點(diǎn)也不知道。

　　4. listen up注意聽(tīng)

　　5. She started a school magazine called New Standard.

　　start a school magazine創(chuàng )辦�？�

　　called在這里為過(guò)去分詞作后置定語(yǔ)，意為“被稱(chēng)為，被叫做”。

　　eg. There is a boy called Tom in our class.我們班有一個(gè)（被）叫做Tom的男孩。

　　6.表示提建議的幾種句型：

　　Why don’t +主語(yǔ)+動(dòng)詞原形？= Why not +動(dòng)詞原形？為什么不……呢？

　　How about doing sth? = What about doing sth.? ……怎么樣呢？

　　You should +動(dòng)詞原形.你應該……

　　It’s a good/great/wonderful/fantastic… idea to do sth.做某事是一個(gè)好主意。

　　答語(yǔ)：That’s a good idea. Sounds great.

　　7. write down寫(xiě)下write- wrote-written

　　8. Any more ideas?還有別的想法嗎？

　　數詞+more+名詞復數=another +數詞+名詞復數又……，再……

　　9. do some reviews about sth.對某物進(jìn)行評論

　　10. do an interview with sb.采訪(fǎng)某人

　　11. else要放在不定代詞（something, anything, someone, anyone, somebody, anybody,somewhere, anywhere）、副詞（where）、疑問(wèn)詞（who, what……）之后

　　關(guān)于如何提高成績(jì)的一些建議。

　　on, about意思都為“關(guān)于”，但是介詞on后跟比較專(zhuān)業(yè)的內容。

　　疑問(wèn)詞+ to do不定式可以做主語(yǔ)、表語(yǔ)、賓語(yǔ)。

　　eg. I don’t know where to go.做賓語(yǔ)我不知道該去哪里。

　　Where to live is a problem.（主語(yǔ)）在哪里住是一個(gè)問(wèn)題。

　　The problem is what to do.表語(yǔ)問(wèn)題是該做什么。

　　13. write a composition 寫(xiě)作文a wonder of the world世界奇觀(guān)

　　14. the ancient pyramids in Egypt埃及的古老的金字塔

　　15. suggest doing sth = suggest +that+ sb. should +動(dòng)詞原形

　　建議某人做某事suggestion為可數名詞“建議”

　　advise sb. not to do sth.建議某人（不）做某事

　　1. the natural world自然界ancient wonder古老的奇觀(guān)

　　natural wonder自然奇觀(guān)modern wonder現代奇觀(guān)

　　2. get out of …從……內出來(lái)

　　3. go through穿過(guò)（物體內部）go across = cross穿過(guò)（物體表面）

　　4. nothing to see什么也看不到to do不定式可以作后置定語(yǔ)修飾前面的名詞、代詞

　　eg. I have a lot of homework to do.我有很多的作業(yè)要做。

　　5. in front of在（物體外部的'）前面in the front of在（物體內部的）前面

　　6. go the right way走正確的道路go the wrong way走錯誤的道路

　　7. in +時(shí)間段“在……之后（內）”，用于將來(lái)時(shí)對該結構提問(wèn)要用how soon.

　　8. look over仔細檢查look across眺望look after照顧、照看look out of小心、當心look like看起來(lái)像look up向上看/查閱（字典）look down at俯視、向下看look around環(huán)顧四周look for尋找look forward to盼望look down upon/on看不起

　　9. too…to…太……以至于不能……

　　He is too young to go to school.他太小了以至于不能去上學(xué)。

　　He is so young that he can’t go to school.

　　He is not old enough to go to school.

　　10. the clouds cleared云散開(kāi)了

　　It’s clear today.今天天氣晴朗。Are you clear?明白嗎？

　　11. rise “太陽(yáng)升起”，為不及物動(dòng)詞rise---rose---risen

　　raise “籌集（資金）、舉起”，為及物動(dòng)詞raise money籌錢(qián)

　　12. beyond “超出……之外”beyond my ability/imagination超出我的能力/想象

　　13. on the edge of …在……的邊緣

　　14. one of + the +形容詞級+可數名詞復數最……的……之一

　　做主語(yǔ)時(shí)謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞用單數

　　15. at the bottom of …在……的底部

　　16.到達：reach+地點(diǎn)arrive in/at+地點(diǎn)get to +地點(diǎn)
