參考教案 Unit 24 Mainly revision
一、教學(xué)目標與要求
通過(guò)本單元教學(xué),使學(xué)生掌握以下詞匯的用法:though, hardly, neither和both。能獨立完成練習冊有關(guān)這些詞匯的各種練習,正確率不低于70%。通過(guò)對第94課課文的學(xué)習,使學(xué)生了解有關(guān)艾爾斯山的一些概況,并用自己組織的語(yǔ)言,對艾爾斯山進(jìn)行簡(jiǎn)單的描述。教師可要求學(xué)生運用正確的書(shū)信格式,以Wei Hua的名義給Bob White寫(xiě)一封回信;還可要求學(xué)生模仿第96課的示例,給自己的筆友寫(xiě)信,在信中簡(jiǎn)單介紹自己的一些情況如姓名、年齡、居住地點(diǎn)、所在學(xué)校、業(yè)余愛(ài)好等。
本單元兼有總復習作用。通過(guò)復習,使學(xué)生鞏固19~23單元所學(xué)的句型、語(yǔ)法項目和日常交際用語(yǔ)。通過(guò)一定的口、筆頭練習,使學(xué)生提高運用這些語(yǔ)言材料的能力。特別要注意學(xué)生書(shū)面能力的訓練。為著(zhù)手進(jìn)行初三全面總復習打好基礎。
二、教學(xué)重點(diǎn)與難點(diǎn)
1.詞匯學(xué)習(Word Study):1)THOUGH Though I like speaking English, I don't like writing it much.
2)HARDLY There is hardly any milk left.There are hardly any glasses left.
3)NEITHER and BOTH Neither of us has much time. We both have too much work to do.
2.日常交際用語(yǔ):[表示讓步(Concession)]Though Australia is very large, the population is quite small.
三、課時(shí)安排
本單元共用4課時(shí),每課書(shū)用1課時(shí)。

一、教學(xué)內容

2.句型:復習以下句型:1)Neither of us has much time. 2) Both John and Ann have got penfriends. 3)Though I like writing to my friend, it takes a lot of time.

三、課堂教學(xué)設計
1.復習 值日生報告。
教師繼續檢查上一單元的課文復述。
2.聽(tīng)課文第1部分錄音,教師布置聽(tīng)前提問(wèn)(Pre-listening question):Do they write to each other very often? Why?
聽(tīng)錄音一至兩遍。學(xué)生回答問(wèn)題。再聽(tīng)錄音,學(xué)生練習朗讀。
3.學(xué)生自己閱讀課文第2部分內容,教師講解both, either, neither等詞的用法(見(jiàn)難點(diǎn)講解)。
4.學(xué)生跟著(zhù)錄音練習課文第3部分并列句。請同學(xué)模仿這部分語(yǔ)句造句,然后在全班朗讀所造的句子。教師加以講評。
5.介紹連詞though的用法,要求學(xué)生按課本要求,模仿示范進(jìn)行造句練習。教師予以訂正。
6.布置作業(yè)
書(shū)面完成練習冊習題。
四、難點(diǎn)講解
1.Neither of us has much time.我們倆個(gè)人都沒(méi)有什么時(shí)間。
neither表示“兩者都不”,可作形容詞或代詞。例如:
Neither answer is correct. 兩個(gè)答案都不對。(neither是形容詞)
Neither of the answers is correct.(或Neither of the answers are correct.)意思同上,neither是代詞。短語(yǔ)neither…nor…表示“既不……,也不……”。例如:
It is neither blue nor green.它既不是藍色也不是綠色。
Neither my father nor I were there.(或 Neither my father nor I was there.)我和我父親都不在那里。
neither表示對兩者的否定;both表示對兩者的肯定,使用時(shí)應注意區別。例如:
Neither of them has ever been to the Great Wall.他們倆個(gè)人都沒(méi)有去過(guò)長(cháng)城。(表示否定)
Both of them have been to the Great Wall.他們倆個(gè)人都去過(guò)長(cháng)城。(表示肯定)
2.I like listening to the radio, but I can't spend much time on it.我喜歡聽(tīng)收音機,但是我不能在這方面花去太多的時(shí)間。
動(dòng)詞spend是“花費”的意思,可以構成以下句型:
spend(time or money) on sth. (或in)doing sth. 例如:
Many students spend too much time(in) doing their homework. 很多學(xué)生用太多的時(shí)間來(lái)做作業(yè)。
He spent two hours talking before starting his work. 他工作之前用了兩個(gè)小時(shí)聊天。
She spends a lot of money on books. 她買(mǎi)書(shū)花了很多錢(qián)。

1.復習 值日生報告。
2.借助學(xué)生課本彩色插圖iv關(guān)于A(yíng)yers Rock的圖片,介紹本課生詞:
T:Now please look at this picture. It's beautiful, isn't it? It is called AYERS ROCK and it's in Australia. Ayers Rock is not high, it's LOW. AT THE FOOT OF the rock, you can see some green GRASS. But now we can HARDLY see any grass because the picture is too small. Look at the sand, it's almost red. And sometimes the SKY is red, too. Do you want to know more about it? Now let's read the text.
領(lǐng)讀生詞,學(xué)生反復練習,直到初步掌握為止。
3.給學(xué)生8分鐘左右時(shí)間默讀課文(本課計約351個(gè)詞)。教師用投影儀打出讀前提問(wèn)(Pre-reading questions):1)How did Bob White and his father go to Ayers Rock? 2) How long did they stay there? Did they enjoy their stay there?
規定時(shí)限過(guò)后,學(xué)生回答上述問(wèn)題。
4.聽(tīng)課文錄音,學(xué)生跟讀一至兩遍。
5.指導學(xué)生復習書(shū)信格式。
6.做練習冊習題1,方法同前。
7.教師扼要解釋課文難句(見(jiàn)難點(diǎn)講解)。
8.布置作業(yè)
1)練習朗讀本課課文,抄寫(xiě)生詞;2)準備復述課文;3)書(shū)面完成練習冊習題。
四、難點(diǎn)講解
1.But after we left the mountains behind us, there was hardly a cloud in the sky.當我們把群山甩在身后面,天空幾乎萬(wàn)里無(wú)云。
hardly是副詞,意思是:幾乎不。在句中表示否定意義。
hardly可以和any/anything/anybody等詞連用。例如:
We've got hardly any food.我們幾乎沒(méi)有食物了。
hardly還可和情態(tài)動(dòng)詞can, could等連用。例如:
She could hardly walk.她幾乎走不動(dòng)了。
2.Though we only stayed there for a few days, we had a great time.雖然我們在那里只逗留了幾天,我們過(guò)得很愉快。
though是連詞,意思是:雖然,引導表示讓步的狀語(yǔ)從句。
though還表示“不過(guò)、可是”等意思。例如:Most of the land below looked like sand, though Dad told me it is greener than you think.下面的土地看起來(lái)絕大部分像沙子,可是父親告訴我地面上比人所想像的要綠些。
句中than you think中的you指“任何一人”。

1.復習 教師針對第94課課文內容提問(wèn),學(xué)生快速回答,以下問(wèn)題供參考:1)Who wrote the letter? 2)When and where did the boy wtite the letter? 3)Where did Bob White and his father spend their short holiday? 4)How did they go there? 5)Where is Ayers Rock? 6)What did the land below look like? 7) When did Bob and his father start climbing up? 8) Did they reach the top? Why not? 9)What can they find when they climb higher? 10) What did Wei Hua ask Bob in her letter to him? 11)What did Bob ask Wei Hua to send him? 12)How many sheep are there in Australia?
2.檢查學(xué)生復述課文。
3.學(xué)生獨立做課本第1、2部分回答問(wèn)題和連句練習,數分鐘后,核對答案。
4.指導學(xué)生做練習冊習題,當堂核對答案。講解由though引導的表示讓步的狀語(yǔ)從句與含有等立連詞but的并列句之間的區別,注意加強比較,以免學(xué)生混淆(參閱第93課第3、4部分的內容)。
5.布置作業(yè)
1)繼續練習朗讀第94課課文,準備復述;2)以魏華的名義給Bob寫(xiě)一封回信,要求格式正確,長(cháng)度相當于原文三分之一。
寫(xiě)清以下內容:
1)收到來(lái)信,表示感謝;2)介紹學(xué)校搞足球聯(lián)賽,本校戰勝對手,獲得冠軍;3)寄去一些中國郵票,希望他喜歡。

一、教學(xué)內容

3.給學(xué)生兩分鐘時(shí)間閱讀課文第2部分的書(shū)信,規定時(shí)限過(guò)后,教師提出以下問(wèn)題:1)Who wrote the letter? 2) How did the girl know Linda's name? 3)How old is this Chinese girl? 4)Where does she live? 5)Which school does she study at and what grade is she in?
6)Please say something about her parents. 7)Please say something about herself.
問(wèn)答練習進(jìn)行完畢以后,要求學(xué)生模仿這封信,寫(xiě)一封短信?蓪(xiě)給本班同學(xué),也可寫(xiě)給外班同學(xué),在課下交流。4.指導學(xué)生做練習冊習題。當堂核對答案。
5.布置作業(yè)
1)準備用英文給筆友寫(xiě)一封短信,介紹自己;2)做練習冊總復習習題。
